Many rekeys done on the spot
Keyed-alike or keyed-different per door
Old keys retire—new keys documented
We service **Schlage**, **Kwikset**, many mortise/rim cylinders, and select smart-lock cylinders (when user-rekeyable). If a lock is severely worn or incompatible, we’ll quote a compatible replacement.
Evaluate & confirm
Identify cylinder type/brand and inspect condition to ensure a reliable rekey (or recommend replacement when needed).
Pin to new key
Re-pin the cylinder to your new key code and verify smooth operation—no sticking or sloppy turn.
Key control
Provide new keys, label/key-alike as requested, and retire old keys so former copies no longer work.
Final check
Test from both sides, confirm latch/bolt throw, and ensure the door closes and seals properly.
One key for all exterior doors is convenient; separate keys offer finer access control. We configure either, and can maintain a key record for future additions at your request.
Front/back doors, garden-level entries, gates, and garage/service doors. Keep one family key and retire contractor copies.
Unit doors, storefront cylinders, back-of-house/service entries. We can coordinate schedules and provide labeled key sets.
Free estimate, clear pricing, and secure key control—without new locks.
What’s the difference between rekey and replace?
Rekey changes the internal pins so a new key works and old keys don’t. Replace swaps the entire lock hardware. Rekey is faster and more cost-effective when the hardware is in good shape.
Can you make one key for all my doors?
Yes—if the cylinders are compatible, we can key them alike. If not, we’ll recommend a compatible setup to achieve one-key convenience.
Do you keep copies of my keys?
Only if you request key record services. Otherwise, we do not retain duplicates or codes after the job is complete.
How long does it take?
Many rekeys take 20–45 minutes per cylinder depending on type and condition.
