Most alignments done in one visit
Square, plumb, and properly latched
Less rattle, better energy seal
Seasonal movement, settling frames, worn hinges/rollers, and loose strikes throw things out of square. Small adjustments restore smooth operation and a tighter seal.
Inspect & diagnose
Check reveal lines, hinge wear, sash/leaf sag, strike position, and roller/track condition.
Square & level
Shim or adjust hinges, tracks, and hardware to true the unit and relieve binding points.
Set latch & compression
Reposition strikes and tune keepers/rollers for easy closing and proper weatherseal compression.
Lubricate & test
Lubricate pivots/tracks, verify smooth travel, and confirm tight seal without slamming or sticking.
Hinged doors (in/out-swing), sliding patio doors, double-hung & casement windows, tilt/turn, and storefront-style aluminum units.

Will adjustment fix drafts?
Often yes. Correcting reveal lines and strike position improves compression at the seals. We can also replace worn weatherstrip.
Do you replace worn hardware?
If hinges, rollers, or keepers are beyond adjustment, we’ll quote replacements and install matching parts.
How long does it take?
Many alignments take 45–90 minutes per unit; complex sliders or heavy doors may take longer.
Will this help with noise?
A tighter seal reduces rattle and outside air gaps, which can lower noise infiltration.

Avoid forcing stuck doors—snapping photos of the gap (top/lock/bottom) helps us diagnose. Use ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + S on desktop, or your phone, and we’ll guide next steps.
Proper latch engagement is a safety issue. After alignment, we confirm the lock throws fully and the unit seals tightly.
